Craig began the practice of law in New York with the law firm of Wilens & Baker in New York City. In 1980 Craig moved to California, having accepted the position of Vice-President and General Counsel for Ritter Geller Communications, an international publishing company, located in Santa Monica, and now is the managing partner of the firm that bears his name.

Craig was admitted to practice in California in May, 1981. In 1983 Craig joined a Los Angeles Law firm which became known as Chung, Tinberg and Stein, and embarked on his career choice, being a trial lawyer specializing in complex business litigation. Craig has been an exceptional trial lawyer since that time.

In 2003, the Public Justice Foundation nominated Craig for Trial Lawyer of the Year for his work on behalf of Lawrence Wollersheim in the seminal case known as Wollersheim v. the Church of Scientology of California.  That case was 14 years old when Craig took it on, and through diligence and hard work forced the Church of Scientology to pay nearly $9,000,000 to Mr. Wollersheim.  This was the first time that the Church of Scientology was ever forced to pay off a court judgment. The judgment itself was contested all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, twice.

In 2007 Craig was recognized by his peers as a top Southern California Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine in recognition of Craig’s preeminent standing among his peers.
